I remember going to their show at the Apollo and hearing the Cacs laughing it up and jokes about black and brown people. Never listened to another episode again.

wait till you go to a rap show
Yeah. Their humor is like Kendrick Lamar’s music which is catered for white folk. No one authentically black is really feeling them like that.

In fairness, Desus by himself is funny from what I’ve seen and heard, but together, you can tell they’re going for the CAC audience with their jokes.

Mero claims desus went Hollywood because he stopped wearing fitted hats. Also claims the stories about his long time friend and manager viktor being abusive to staff behind the scenes at their show was a planted story by showtime execs. Ultimately he blamed the disintegration of their relationship and podcast on desus who wanted to do his own thing rather than keep the bodega boys alive.
If we're being honest Desus was the funny one. Mero would just kinda add on to Desus jokes.

So he probably felt he was carrying the show. They had a great run considering they met and came up on Twitter

we still doing this shyt in 2022? ..like prepubescent white kids are not doing the latest drill dances. :childplease:

people still pretending non street rap is "for white people" is corny as hell.

it's everything that you don't say when you say shyt like that that is concerning. it betrays some deep seeded problems about Black identity and begs that question why brothers like Kendrick are always the ones who's Black appeal/Black identity is in question. :mjpls:

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
Desus was ALWAYS the funniest of the two, Mero, sometimes, was funny, but not because of jokes, but because he would tell you to suck his dikk if you went at him or his *pause* which I can respect. Mero is winning right now because he is accessible, while Desus is holed up somewhere, not doing or saying anything. Desus also started touring the world with Anna Kendrick and the like, looked like he found his “people”. I wasn’t really fukking with them at all once they started showtime, I thought the show was corny, but I didn’t hate them, I will always support folks that come from the hip hop space, culture, even if it means I just didn’t want them to fail instead of watching.

Norfeast groovin…
That’s why I went to the show and even bought the shirts. Then I saw the cacs…. It was a wrap for me.

The longer the podcast went the more their comedy veered in the cac direction. When I first started listening they was an aight podcast during work but by the end of it I could hardly listen at all shyt was just too weird and cacced out for me.
