Didn't he always have the lazy elementary flow? Lol that's what made him so dope imo

He didnt have the lazy flow to the extent that he does now. Go back to his first 3-4 projects, there were songs where he was flowing and on beat. I first started listening to him when Best After Bobby dropped and I was on him heavy from then until around 2012-13

I never went to Dom for bars, it was all vibe and chilled out music. Same for Spitta and Wiz. Wiz is the better rapper out of the 3 but they put me in that same vibe with the dope production and chilled out/cruisin music

As a fan who has even seen him live, his music was never built to last. His whole appeal has been built on saying cool stuff over nice beats....not rapping. He just never seemed like he was locked into the actual rapping aspect of being a rapper, including writing rhymes. He was never a good spitter but once By Dom Kenndey dropped his bars were beyond shytty and uninspired. Once he stopped getting good production it was really over.

Honestly his music has the same flaws as a lot of the colorful dread clones of today. Focusing too much on being cool, flow over lyrics, leaning too heavy on production etc.

Wiz Khalifa is most definitely NOT a better rapper than Spitta

Wait, he was a poster on Niketalk? :ohhh:

And Dom never got creative with the lyrics or even seemed to try. But the production was always :ohlawd:

He had his time to blow up and kinda missed it :manny:

Somebody hit him in the face with a brick because breh sounds legit slow these days. He was never a dope lyrical rapper but goddamn breh is even offbeat now.
Yellow Album was the soundtrack though.
