Just mentioned this in the college football thread and have said this I don’t know how many times. He is good, but nowhere near on the level people tried to put him on. I saw an analyst say he was the best football player in the world, college or pro. It’s so ridiculous, yet people are now realizing how ridiculous his hype was. They continued to overlook some pedestrian games because he did a halfback pass for a TD or some shyt. He isn’t that great between the tackles from what I’ve seen. He tries to make big runs bouncing it to the outside and that leads to many of his loss yards. Again, he is good, but not some super all time great.

Straight up, conference play over the past two years he has been borderline pedestrian...very good but not legendary AT ALL and shut down at times.

If you watch you know it has nothing to do with him. The offensive line is trash and every run play there are 3-4 defenders that swarm to him because they let McSorley try to beat them. He has nowhere to go. He’s still the same guy he’s always been
