Trump 2016 happened. When the influx of deplorable trolls looking to divide people, pop off BS rivalries, spread agenda driven misinformation, hate-inciting conspiracies, obvious right wing propaganda, extremism, and astroturf hashtags on black websites began showing up, thecoli decided that proving to the world that we are not a liberal monolith was a greater priority than keeping this forum a productive place for topics of discussion.

So we made this forum a welcoming place for the average pro-MAGA troll plaguing the internet pretending to be independents that happen to hate liberals and Democrats. We let the dudes posting National Review articles, bigging up Ann Coulter and Donald Trump, typing hate speech about Latino immigrants and African nationals every ten minutes, and inventing nonsense conspiracy theories about liberals, gays, feminists and immigrants plotting the downfall of African Americans all slide, if not dapped it all up. And we began calling anyone pointing out the clearly orchestrated and disingenuous hate speech "DNC shills" who are somehow "against reparations" or some shyt and not welcome.

So instead of us looking like a liberal monolith inclusive of others and discerning over what extremist views and potentially dangerous views we allow to be posted here, we now look like some demented combination of st0rmfr0nt, *****, the Fox News Channel, and a Nation of Islam meeting....but mostly the former three.
