What happened to the FPS Campaign?

I haven't been wowed by a FPS campaign since Call of Duty 4. It seems as though every developer has just gotten incredibly lazy, or they just don't put much effort into their shooter's campaign mode. Even Halo 4 was kinda meh overall, and storywise didn't really feel that epic.

We gonna have a crazy FPS campaign smack us in the face this gen, brehs? I'm losing hope.

BF4 was the first campaign that pulled me in since COD 4. Hate the genre but actually beat that one.

Perfect list...stand outs are Borderlands 2..Dishonored...Bioshock..Metro 2033..and Far Cry 3..as far as campaigns go..also if u game on the PC the STALKER series is great...

OP should try Wolfenstien. I thought it did the call of duty campaign formula much better than cod has in years.
