um, that's the issue...she wasn't nearly as talented a tim wanted us to believe, she'd be better off making songs her (local) target market enjoys as opposed to being a "she got next" flop

Timbo burned bridges with DJs+labels by being his typical a$$hole self, and Tink is "too dark." I think she's a beautiful woman (tho that weave is ridiculous) but it's hard to sell a dark skinned woman in music. When I worked at a label they had research on listeners hearing a song, enjoying it...and then enjoying it less when shown a picture that showed it was a dark black woman. Other listeners shown a picture of a lightskin black woman=liked the song more.

Timbaland gets bored with new artists he signs very easily. If they don't have that instant fame he drops them. He's used to working with major pop stars that give him major ratings, press, ect. He tries to go back to his R&B Hip Hop roots because I really believe it's the music he loves making the most but it just doesn't have the same effect in the grand scheme of the music BUSINESS. Tink is talented, but R&B is a dying art form unless you're doing the trap soul style stuff Tiller & PnD are doing and those lanes are already locked down by those two. It's real hard for a female in the music business especially in R&B because it's driven by men singing love songs to women.
None of this has anything to do with anything. Timbaland didn't burn bridges with DJ's and labels. In fact, at every radio show stop (even when he was promoting Empire), he had DJ's hyping her music as much if not more than he was. It's even noted in this thread.
As far as Tink being too dark, I'm guessing you've never heard of Lauryn Hill. She's one of the most successful female singer/rapper hybrids. No one ever cared how Missy Elliott looked either. You're making up stuff.
