Didn't have marketing dollars behind him, didn't have the necessary look for the times, the connections, etc... Any host of reasons.

Dude was on Warner long before it was official. At one point he was doing shows with Kendrick, Cole, and Big Sean as they all tried to Coke up.

He was also working with Just Blaze, who agreed or exec produce his album. Dude had quite a few things going for him but never blew. From what I've heard he quit the game too. Sad.

dude was definitely tight tho. i feel like @SirBiatch was a little right about not having the right look/vibe for the time, but that shouldnt matter that much if you stick with it. right after XV kinda disappeared we got childish gambino and shyt like that so if anything dude mighta just been early on the punch.

Daytona still puts out songs every now and then, I believe he's signed to Harry Fraud now.

XV kinda pigeonholed himself in the nerd lane. He seemed a bit too old to be really doing that in a major way (mid-late 20s) and it wasnt gonna last
