Yeah it will as this is a third party exclusive, but either way this game is only out on PS5 for the rest of the year pretty much. It's not known when it's coming out anywhere else. The first one came to Xbox like 5 years later which was pointless.

Yeah it will as this is a third party exclusive, but either way this game is only out on PS5 for the rest of the year pretty much. It's not known when it's coming out anywhere else. The first one came to Xbox like 5 years later which was pointless.

It's not a first party game, so not being at minimum a console exclusive isn't surprising.

Are you waiting to play Death Stranding 2 on PC when it inevitably launches maybe next year or are you going to be playing it on PS5 at launch?
Timed exclusives without a release date/acknowledgement of another version and then waiting/hoping is a fool's errand. Imagine the cats still waiting for Demon's Souls and GT7 to launch on PC . Very different from Xbox releasing all their games day 1 on PC and now PS5 as well. Completely different scenario that some folks are desperately trying to equalize.

No one's arguing theyre doing the same thing as Xbox.

But they're also not doing the same thing as they did in the PS4 gen by bringing everything over the PC in a year, and losing all their third party exclusives to Xbox.

What is this "lose third party exclusives" things you guys keep bringing up?

Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 were on Xbox One, so how did they "lose" anything with Square if that's what you're implying? If anything, they "lost" Final Fantasy way back on the PS3 since XII came to 360 but even then there were FF games that released on Nintendo only e.g. FFIV Remake, FF Crystal Chronicles on Gamecube.

There have been exclusive Persona games on Nintendo platforms as well as multiplatform Atlus games e.g. the fighting games. Hell, SMT V was originally a Switch exclusive, while the 3rd entry was a PS2 exclusive. Atlus was a smaller company that just focused on Japanese install base and mostly Playstation/Nintendo.


This narrative keeps being brought up when it doesn't really hold in this scenario. Different games were not exclusive because there was some deal and sales didn't pan out and then they ran to Xbox. One minute it's Xbots don't buy games now y'all making narratives up that Xbox is this important platform for them to recoup sales.

Idk I think why does Playstation lose exclusives would've been better.

To name a few Sony lost:
Devil May Cry
Final Fantasy(to an extent)
GTA
Crash Bandicoot(I know Activision owned him but Sony should've threw some money for that orange nikka)
Tekken
Metal Gear Solid(MGS is like 30% exclusive to Sony)

It's a few more I'm forgetting but Sony done lost a lot of big ass franchises that's now multiplatform. Imagine how much PS3's would've been sold if GTA IV and V was a PS3 exclusive??
