You did what most casuals do, forget Hardens defense. Having good defense and not trying verses trying but not being able to play good defense is two different things.

knowing harden has the ability to shut down (edit:contain)Kobe defensively then fast forward to being abused by scrubs is infuriating.

Hardens defense on the perimeter and post rivals Dorts defense against him.
It’s all there for you to see when he commits. Sadly it takes a bad shooting game for it to happen.

Harden defense in the post is elite. His perimter defense is not elite, it’s average

this actually might be the better part of your take ... when I saw Russ was on splash mode I was like ruh-roh

I could see him next game revert to clank mode, running around unbridled without much control .

it doesn’t matter. Rockets strategy don’t do buts/contrarianism. You do what your suppose to do/expected of you when you’re on the floor until D’Antoni makes a decision on you. He has to stay aggressive if his shot is on or off or he has 7 turnovers or none.


This mentality is hard to have in the nba which is why Houston has the mental edge over most teams.
That last series against OKc when Dort was bricking and ppl kept asking why he keeps shooting it’s because he’s suppose/has to. You ah e to do what you’re expected to do. Most coaches would’ve took him out and adjusted but props to Dovonan and CP3 because they kept telling him to stick with it.

I picked Houston to make it to the WCF before the playoffs started but I wasn’t paying attention to seeding. When I realized they would play the Lakers second round I was due to size but in Game 1 that wasn’t an issue. LeBron is my GOAT but I don’t feel like this team as constructed is a championship team. Supporting cast can’t consistently score especially the 3 ball and you got AD and LeBron playing passive as hell. IF they beat Houston I can’t see them putting up 4 wins on the Clippers.
