Before I even start this, I want to clarify that I'm not onboard any kind of colorism/divisiveness agenda here whatsoever, so check that tip. That said, I'm curious about this. The #NewBlack agenda has been pushed by wealthier blacks like Pharrel, Raven Symone, etc, but it looks as if there's an undercurrent of colorism running through it as well.

Appears like some aspects are overlapping, as the majority of the blacks that seem to support #NewBlack it are mixed/ambiguous race and openly disregard any black roots, or are as some writers like to say, simply 'less-black in appearance/manner'. In the Hollywood world in film and music, mixed blacks are being pushed to the forefront (been happening since we got here yeah) for good or ill.

Black-ish is one show that exceeded a lot of people's expectations, and I personally thought it was gonna be literally #NewBlack the series. (Raven did appear on it as a family member tho :russ:)

In a few decades or so, maybe less, will Cacs running the media be able to craft their imagine of the 'perfect' black, and neatly cut out the rest of the race? Im just shootin' shyt here, but what do yall think would happen to our culture if the agenda was ever turned up to 11? Would we be Mexico-lite in media? Would we get even more divided? Would c00nery be the norm?:mjpls:

unconcious blacks inbetween on the fence go on that #newblacks.

Too true. I know now Hollywood is only letting mixed/ambiguous Black women in films for the most part, but I wonder what kind of fukkery would ensue if our men were 100% forced out..:lupe::lupe::lupe:
