The Pistons don't have 2 number 1 picks, and 2 number 4 picks :russ: And Drummond vs Waiters is dead and gone, Dion would have to be a multi-time all-star to affect the game like Drummond will.

Dion is playing like absolute shyt, 13ppg on 39% FG? Yeah Kyrie has been bad too, but Dion has been awful beyond words.
Fukk, you talking about, lame? Drummond is a solid player but not one you gonna build your franchise around. Nikka don't create his own offense or make free throws... and he ain't the difference between the Pistons winnning or losing on any given night.

Take that revisionist GM sh*t somewhere else.

You build around Kyrie the same way you build around Steph Curry, the issue isn't with Kyrie, it's with the GM doing a poor job surrounding him with talent. Look at the Warriors, a defensive wing that can handle the ball and set him up, a PnR big, a defensive/rebounding 5, and a SG that can shoot.

Instead, they have a defensive 4, a SG that needs the ball to be effective, no center and a undersized PF that was brought in for offense that is looking like the worst number 1 pick ever.
Cavs have taken the opposite approach than the Warriors. They feel defense is the way they want to play and win, not by outscoring teams which works in the regular season and not the playoffs.

Just for fun.

Oladipo is shooting 39%
Beal is shooting 40%
McLemore is shooting 38%

...and Tony Allen is leading all shooting guards with a whopping 58 %!!!

Dion is shooting 40+% on spot up 3s this season and was over 35% in that category last season.

Additionally, he didn't seem to have an issue in catch and shoot situations while at Syracuse.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

Sheed is working almost exclusively with Drummond on developing his post game, he's only 20 years old and you don't think he can be built around, even though the Pistons plan centers around the development of his game. He doesn't create offense today, yet these are his last 3 games -

15/18
16/16
16/14

If he doesn't develop even one bit beyond what he is today he will still be better than Waiters. And revisionist GM? Breh, I was saying the Cavs taking Drummond was the right thing to do weeks before the draft.

You some dumb nikkas. Stay in your lane. Stop trying to associate blame for the Cavs struggles on every player who doesn't have the ball in his hands at least 60% of the time every game.

You win titles with multiple stars you dont draft potnetial role players in the top 5 because you want a defensive mentality you draft about the best player available then you try to get a defensive mindset

The Warriors are 4th in defense (8th offensively) :ld:

You win by balancing offense and defense, the Cavs are currently 13th defensively and 29th offensively, a bad offense is much harder to fix than a bad defense :ld:

Why are you comparing rookies to Dion? :lupe:

And Beal is at almost 20ppg.

Oladipo is a 3 year college player that entered the league older than Dion did.

:lupe:

Beal has 4 more FGAs per game than Dion. He's also playing 11 more minutes a game.

:lupe:

We could continue this all day with more pointless stats breh. :manny:

These were all picked as comparisons to other SGs taken in the lottery the past 2 years.

I don't care what Shred does with Drummond. Waiters is 21... so what?

Cavs made the organizational decision to put a wing next to Kyrie who can create his own shot over putting Drummond next to Tristan.

What's hard understand about this?

But, the Cavs had no chance of drafting Beal, and they took Bennett this year over Oladipo.

Oladipo - 11.9ppg, 3.7rpg, 3.0apg 1.6spg 39%

Bennett - 1.4ppg 2.7rpg, 0.3apg, 14% FG 8% 3ptFG

It wasn't the right move. What's so hard to understand about that?

Most people were surprised the Cavs took Waiters in that situation.

Breh, do you not understand that it takes big men longer to develop :wtf: The ceiling for Drummond is best player at his position and top 5 in the league, Waiters has no shot of being top 5 in the league, ever.

They made the wrong choice any way you try to spin it, big men like Drummond are a rarity, every year there's an SG like Waiters in the draft.

I love how you switched the conversation.

:obama:

But let's talk about Anthony Bennett for a second...

That is the point of this thread right? To shyt on Mike Brown?

He's never developed a rookie successfully in 8 years as a coach. (Unless you want to count that one run Boobie Gibson had the year the Cavs made it to the finals.)

He's had Shannon Brown, Danny Green, and JJ Hickson. All who flourished once they left.

He's not a coach for a young team. And the Cavs are the second youngest in the league.

I wouldn't hold the first 10 games as an indictment on him as a player. He's under the wrong coach.
