This. This people just kill me. Everyone has to have some hidden, undiscovered talent or outlet. :pacspit: If you don't get paid to do your art it is a fukking hobby.

The internet generation has produced some of the most self-indulgent, self-absorbed, arrogant, narcissistic, and delusional people the world may ever know.

Take it from me as someone living in Brooklyn, NYC...where this "creative class" has festered over the past decade. People that I've never heard of act as if they are the biggest thing since sliced bread that no one knows yet. The hipster blogger elite beefs up their egos and their friends th own art galleries/lofts/clubs facilitate their egos and make them think their art is actually more valuable than it is.

My attention span for other entertainment channels like radio and tv

The internet ruined TV for me...when I started f*cking with it heavy, I just said goodbye to owning or watching a TV other than when I'm at the bar, the barber shop, or at a friend's place in 2008. I haven't looked back and I feel great. More free time to build myself mentally and physically, To establish and reestablish real life relationships with friends and associates alike. I think the internet messed my thought process up because I'm just way too plugged in and aware to what the world and it's people think about whatever and just humanity in general, but such is the 21st century conundrum and the arguments and dualities hidden within it. Other than that, I got way too much from it to totally negate it's influence and power to the average person out there. The world's just getting more complex and I'd rather keep up with the times and stay ahead of what's going on than fall behind or refuse to adapt to the times.

JOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look. i'm all for technology, but look around your city and u notice there are really no more malls, strip malls stores are now closing, the auto industry & manufacturing where many families made a living are gone, because people can buy shyt off line 24/7 without the hassle of getting there fat ass out there seats

This.

dapped.
repped.

It seems like there are tons of jobs on the internet...but how many of them are actually real and not scams or some MLM shyt?

F*ck craigslist for being the facilitator of this and creating so many false opportunities and making money off of the jobless people's hopes and dreams...but this is America in the 21st century.

I feel like it's moving away from even a service economy to a full fledged consumer economy. And honestly, I don't think it can sustain itself or survive and will eventually lead to the real downfall of America...economically. All of this false faith in the "tech boom" and the "creative class" and making cities marketableas brands is just the way it is in regards to the millenial generation and habits of gentrification in major cities. Globalization is kicking America's ass and without any industry that's real of any kind it will continue to freefall towards nothingness.

I agree with porn too. I am so desensitized to it now. There are porn gifs and pics on my tumblr dash being blogged and reblogged every damn day and it's so vanilla and lame to me now and doesn't excite me. Also, I learned way too much about the smoke and mirrors of the industry. It's really has made society so oversexed and perverted and weird it's made it so corny and commercialized....I can see this stuff and not even flinch.

It's made me appreciate tasteful photography of women a lot more now....that's what I look at now. Call it lame. I can appreciate that as art.

Job searches and the hiring process.

I'm used to putting an application in the managers hand, calling to check the status, and the overall person to person experience. Now you're doing a 50min app process with resumes and cover letters not knowing who will see your application only to get a bland response back via email if you're not hired.

So true...this whole foodie culture is annoying too.

With that, I will add...

Blogs: Remember when blogs were special? Now everyone has them.
Photography: Everyone is some undiscovered photographer now...
Music: So much music, so much of it sounds the same...I'm not bored with it, but I'm not excited with it either. Everyone's a rapper, singer, DJ, producer, beatmaker, or in a band too...
Movies: Just download the screener and take the thrill out of sitting in a movie theater, watching previews, eating popcorn with butter, and having a cherry icee.
Celebrity: I liked it when celebs let their work talk...social media tore down that fourth wall and I realized most of them aren't as special as I thought they were. Also, the opinions of celebs aren't really that great or profound except for some.
Women: Every "bad bytch" (who all look the same might have you) seems to have a model mayhem account, an instagram account with "booking info", a twitter account, a youtube, a vine, and whatever else...to cover up the fact they have nothing going on for them in life other than the occasional trip to dubai.
Art: Everyone seems to be doing the same thing...
This and then add porn into the equation...

:to: I think I'm running away from the web for some time.

c/s.

and even though i'm getting call back from employers, it's like i'm sending my resume along with thousands of others over the internet , spending another hour doing a math test and customer service test to see if i'm qualified for a phone interview and if i past the phone interview then i have a in person one on one interview.

I'm going through this process now to become a claims adjuster for progressive.
