Last trip was to Amsterdam .....I would have to say the overall willingness to use bicycles for travel. I have seen more bikes in my 4 days there than probably most of my adult life

Oh that is another thing I saw in the DR. The had absolutely no regard for stop lights. Regardless of the color of the light they treated ever intersection like a 4 way stop.

Also there were tons of strays everywhere. No one paid they any mind and they were the most well mannered dogs I ever seen. I even seen a whole dog family.

Also they gas stations turned into the kick it spot at dusk.

Efficient rail transit systems. Tokyo's metro puts the DC metro to shame 100 times over.

When I got back to DC I was mad as shyt getting back on the metro dealing with them trains running every 30 minutes due to single tracking delays.

I probably would have seen that and just kept my eyes straight and forward. I wouldn't have looked like that. I would have gone blind in that moment. You are braver than me
