:gucci:Here we go again with this colorism shyt ain't real. Muthafukkas know they done made a few skin color jokes at dark skinned folks but gonna act stupid. Just because you say something ain't that serious dont mean it ain't serious to other folks. Some darkskinned folks could brush the shyt off and some can't. :jbhmm: what I find funny is muthafukkas would be crying all day about how nerds/ social awkward treatment in the community but soon to tell a dark skinned person kick rocks your problems/feelings dont matter or exist.
Whats your fukking point with bold? You act like nikkas ain't never made jokes about light skin people. Insecure cats need to off themselves smfh.

But are any of you dark skin women? How can you deny someone's experience without having lived it?
Using this logic how can anybody ever have an opinion on things since you have to have experience to "speak" on it? Most people don't have experience in the shyt they are yapping about and that ain't never stopped them from running their mouths. I guess you have experience in everything you ever speak on? Doubt it but you can tell me you do.

Black women are not/will not be liberated by Black men ever.& I personally see myself with a white boy with swag long term anyway.
So do you genuinely prefer white guys or do you seek them out because of your negative perception/generalizations of black men?

Been saying this. Its just so easy for the. To scapegoat everything as "it's because I'm darkskin"

But I stopped taking black women who complain about this seriously because they never point the finger get at each other. Black women themselves hype of euro centric features. Weaves, perms, blonde hair dye, colored contacts.

I mean look at who they idoloze:

beyonce-baby-bump-2.jpg

Never wears her nature hair. Rocks blonde 90% of the time. You literally HAVE to pay this chic to rock a hairstyle that matches her ethnicity

Exhibit 2:

Pencil straight hair, light "pretty" eyes, lightskin.

These are 1 and 2 most idolized black women by black women in this country. So when they complain about "y'all only like lightskins(which is false) just tell em so do they.
Ok.. those two were chosen and backed by men and companies who knew that they would make them more money because they are lighter and have "cross-over appeal".

They may be black which brings the style, soul and swag, but they aren't too black to be seen as obscene, taboo or a niche market.

To sell in Asia and Latin America and other countries colorism/racism plays a huge part. The coli gives black women too much credit. We don't have that kind of power. You also didn't take into account that these are the images of black beauty, shown to us through various media, always light or brown, always with straightened or curly hair.

Dark skin black actresses/singers are pushed into niche markets or have to find success overseas, like Kelly Rowland, Melanie Fiona or Sza. Meanwhile, there are way more Tinashe, Kehlani and Jhene Aiko's getting success and features.

Dark skin women are never the default, just a token. Lighter skin has "mass appeal" because we live in a world of white supremacy and blackness is at the opposite end of the spectrum. So stop blaming black women for what white folks and colonialism has brought.

Kelly pushed herself into a niche when she had that run of sex songs. Melanie Fiona just by numbers has had more success than any of those light skinned artists she just doesn't drop enough music. I don't even know what SZA looks like or even sounds like but she's in that same Jhene Aiko lane, right? That combined with being on TDE one of the most mystique-driven labels (often to their detriment) makes it hard for her to blow up big. Tinashe and Kehlani can't even get album release dates.

Mo'Nique and Lupita have Academy Awards, Viola has been nominated for 3. Talent and/or "it" factor trumps complexion in entertainment.
