Using this logic how can anybody ever have an opinion on things since you have to have experience to "speak" on it? Most people don't have experience in the shyt they are yapping about and that ain't never stopped them from running their mouths. I guess you have experience in everything you ever speak on? Doubt it but you can tell me you do.

Where did I say you couldn't have an opinion? I said you couldn't deny their experiences.

Experiences/opinions are the same shyt in this context because nobody is saying they personally didn't experience what they did. The thing is when people try to shyt people down with the its my experience and that's that. It don't work like that. Everybody has experiences sometimes they co sign our views other times they don't.

Why are you blaming all black women for Twitter idiots. Many people dragging blue ivy weren't just black women but yeah go ago blame us for everything.

Alot of black women Beyonce fans went in on them calling for dare bullying her offspring too.
Meh bw never check each other they check everyone else.

And please 95% of the people complaining about blue ivy and gabby douglas "ethnic" hair were black women. No one else really cared. The biggest haters and criticizers of black women are OTHER black women

The difference between an ugly/average Lightskin woman and ugly/average Darkskin woman is that the lightskin woman will still have a large group of brown and dark men lusting after her "pretty hair" and lightskin. The pretty dark skin girls who do better with men are usually stunning and probably have weave and thin noses/lips. Light skin and certain features give you bonus points in the looks department for a lot of Black men while dark skin is ridiculed.

For example, Lupita is way more attractive than Kehlani but which one do you think most Black dudes want?

Facts! Or you can say Mya vs someone like Teedra Moses or Jasmine Sullivan. Thats true and it varies.

Its interesting. Where Im from, if you are dark skinned you better be natural with a phat ass or look like Gabrielle union with a phat ass
Jasmine Sullivan? You think Jazmine Sullivan is on par with Mya, but Mya being lighter-skinned is what makes men think she's more attractive?

:patrice:

If anything I think it'd be more related to her weight, than her skin-tone. Mya has always been slim or slim-thick. Jazmine has always been a little hefty, and Homely/Cute. Not the same sex-appeal as Mya.

Same with Jazmine vs Teedra.

I think you're missing the point OP. I've seen brehs lust over mediocre looking lightskin chicks because they had curls and light colored eyes while brushing off elite dark skinned chicks. Not to say the dark skinned chicks don't have problem courting male attention, but that the standards are much higher.

Your experience is your experience, but seriously?

Your not making any sense. You claim bw never check each other, but then claim 95% of the time they do.

I'm not bias majority of ppl talking about Gabby the 1st time was bw on Twitter, the second time it was yt ppl.

You must not been on Twitter or other social media sites cause many different races of ppl were calling Blue Ivy all types of names from monkey to ugly bytch, even making jokes about pissing on her.

Black people talk about other black people the MOST, it's not even about gender. Go on YouTube and see bm bashing bw for what they choose to do with their hair.

What grown man cares about what random women choice to do with her makeup?

I don't think she's Hispanic but it's clear she is mixed and or very lighter skinned. There is nothing wrong with being lighter skin by the way. I notice she and other folks on here can dismiss the conversation picking things out deflecting the REAL issue.

Piggybacking off your family members, I see it as well. In fact, we ALL do but we don't say anything. And if we do, it's "preference" and for me I don't say things because I don't want to come
Off as the bitter dark skin chick because I'm not
Right.

Peep how Prima Donna is trying to discredit my opinion and yours (because like always mixed people always stay deflecting during colorism discussions lol) and even uttered a complete lie by saying im mixed, when both my parents are black (both African-Americans) one is a rich chocolate (mom)and one is your common everyday yella nikka(pops). I could PM you their wedding picture if you really wanted to see as proof lol. Because apparently to Prima Donna there's no such thing as a lightskin or brownskin African-American, she's literally implying AAs are only dark. You peep that?

Anyone I'm 100% black and proud, and unlike @Prima Donna, who is multiracial (bay area hispanic, trini iirc, mixed w/ white) trying to cape for that mixed thot Kehlani for some suspect reason.:mjpls:

You don't have change how you say things fam, you definitely won't come across as bitter to me and people who feel exactly where you coming from on this issue. :salute:
How many people do ya'll know that find Kehlani more attractive than Lupita?

Imma need a poll.

Honestly, I never thought about colorism until my last relationship. He was from Cali and his whole crew had white or biracial women as mates. All of them.

I noticed I was always the only "black" girl (a person with two Black parents) out of 6-7 couples when we would all hang out. It was weird and uncomfortable to me cause they were all dark skin and we would be out in ATLANTA. I'm from Michigan - and even in my Atlanta circle -- i'm used to seeing and being around BM/BW couples.

But, skincolor/tone classification is subjective - cause one person will say someone is light or dark and someone else will say they are not.

I would say I'm light brown or just brown -- but I heard my ex describe me as dark brown and dark. I realized then, a lot of people from Cali have a whole nother view and scale of skincolor/tone classification.
