Holy fukk man what clusterfukk of an event. Like you couldn’t make this shyt up. I’ve never planned a festival and probably never will, but I’ve been involved in event planning where you sit and say “how the fukk are we gonna pull this off”. Even when saying that you know deep down there was a way. With the Fyre festival there was no fukking way. It was literally planning a disaster and being shocked that it was disaster.
Lot of conflicting thoughts about this doc. On the surface I say that whole fiasco couldn’t have went down if Billy was black. For the most part people act with suspicion when there is a brother involved, like “what’s the angle?” from the beginning. On the other side Billy is a sociopathic pathological liar that had a talent of getting money out of people. Trump is the same type of person and he’s president. We really do celebrate people like that in this country.
This also brings me up to my next point, that in order to be REALLY successful in this country you need to have sociopathic or psychopathic tendencies. You need to be willing to rip people off and destroy lives with no remorse, bottom line. Game ain’t based on sympathy. Hell even when Billy was facing federal charges he still managed to do a Nigerian email scam and get a few hundred thousand out of people. Only a sociopath works like that.
