Yall ever think about this? :ohhh:

Lowkey him and Hinrich used to be one of my fav backcourt duos :mjcry:

And when Rose came it looked like it was the start of something good. Especially when they took Boston to 7 games. Just shows you what being greedy gets you. Gets shipped off to Detroit and fell off HARD.

Nothing.

Ben Gordon was an alright player, who never did anything to move the needle for his team. He was a smallish scoring guard who couldn't defend or distribute, and if he was one of your favorite players... that is probably why you never succeeded either.

You wanted that last line too bad.

Gordon would have succeeded, but he didn't want to fall back.

Gordon was a gunner who shot in the low 40's for his career. He never made an all star team. He was a great athlete that never went to the hoop enough, never got to the foul line enough. Never averaged 4 assists, His career AST/TO ratio is 1/1. He had two seasons where he put up more than 20 a game, and for some reason... people thought he was more than a volume scorer. He could shoot... but that's about it. He had elite quickness and athleticism, and it was wasted by floating around the perimeter.

He was not special, and his career went the way it should have. A few years with scoring averages in the teens, two seasons above 20, and then a stark falloff.

His career with Chicago, which I'm basing my thread off of, his average was almost 45%. 3pt shooting 41%.

All Star games are fukking popularity contests, not based on skill.

He was never asked to be a playmaker, so why you bringing up assist numbers is stupid. He's not even a PG :rudy:

And finally you dumb fukk I said I never said he was the GOAT. I said what if he had stayed in Chicago and developed alongside Rose. You seem to have a lot of Ben Gordon hate in your heart. Did he fukk your bytch? :mjlol:

He shot 43% from the floor. 80% of his attempts came from 10 feet or further out.

The starters are a fan vote, the bench is based on performance and reputation. He never got voted. He never got chosen.

Asked to be a playmaker? Dogg... he was their #1 offensive option. He was a dynamic physical talent, with incredible quickness... and he used it for step-back jumpers. He was an undersized gunner, who didn't get to the hoop enough, didn't draw enough contact, and turned the ball over as often as he got assists. "He wasn't asked" - this Mother May I style of fandom.

He was alright. He was good. That's it.

And finally you dumb fukk I said I never said he was the GOAT. I said what if he had stayed in Chicago and developed alongside Rose.

He would not have worked with rose. He shoot too much, and he was ball-dominant. Plus, they were in NO hurry to keep him with rose. And develop? By the time he left, he was 26-27.... with his numbers already in decline.

You seem to have a lot of Ben Gordon hate in your heart. Did he fukk your bytch?

I have no hate for ben gordon. I think he was a perfectly fine undersized gunner. Worse than Monta Ellis, for example. A better shooter, but a worse playmaker than Jamal Crawford. He was a sub-all star talent, and y'all are talking about "what may have been" like he was Len Bias.

You should have actually watched Ben Gordon when he played. Like I did. Maybe you'd understand.

#1 offensive option doesn't equal being a playmaker. And once again, I never said he was great. I said I enjoyed watching him play and what would have happened if he stayed with the Bulls.

You came talking bout irrelevant bullshyt that had nothing to do with I said. :camby:
