What if Big Daddy Kane dropped a new album produced by Madlib?

To be honest, I would rather hear one from Rakim and Madlib today.

I love Kane, and he's one of my GOAT's, and he can still rap. But he's stuck in the same pattern and cadence that he's been using for 25+ years. No matter the beat, same exact flow, lol. Rakim just dropped some new sh*t, and somehow, still sounds fresh. Kane kinda lost his cool forever ago. That's my dude, but I think it's over for him.

Madlib and The God would be some crazy sh*t though.

That would work - a Rakim Madlib produced album

When I made this thread, I was like “Kane could make a blaxploitation type album with Madlib production” since he’s stuck in time with his style lol

We were just talking about The Ecstatic.

That kinda Madlib production for Rakim today would be CRAZY!

But yeah, Kane's still stuck on that "Dark Gable" sh*t. LOL!! Rocking the funny hats and silk shirts and all that. Literally the same sh*t that killed his career in '91. I don’t know what would work for him now. He got a little too weird.

Yup! Yessir!!! Rakim would float over them Madlib beats

I’m laughing at the “Dark Gable” shyt

It’s true tho, that’s just who he is, a long lost son of a Fred Williamson character in a 70’s movie lmao!

Kane broke my heart when he fell off. I just didn't get WTF he was doing. HAHA!

You're right though. He really thinks he's Black Caesar. That sh*t don’t belong in Hip Hop. You can't be rocking no suede slippers and satin pants to no MC battle! Do that bullsh*t away from the music and get back to being on some rap sh*t.

Facts lmao!!!

He went straight Barry White lmao!

Once he wore that purple paisley outfit in Heavy D’s “Don’t Curse” video, it was officially over

It almost didn’t help that Kane always seemed far older than what he was, so once he went full time lover man with the Dark Prince shyt, his image more of an older nikka from the late 70’s who was NOW also trying to be a rapper

Like a straight up 70’s blaxploitation in the 90’s lol

It was dated and just completely out of place

Bro!!

I remember seeing the "Don't Curse" video when it dropped, and thinking like 'WTF??", as a kid! Why are you rocking that damn Max Julien pajama set in a Hip Hop video with all legends, looking crazy?!? It was definitely over then.

I’m screaming! :russ:

That nikka Kane literally had on a purple paisley outfit like he was Tony M rolling with Prince during the Diamonds and Pearls era :pachaha:

HAHAHA!

I hate clowning legends, but Kane lost his damn mind. He deserves it, lol.

Seriously one of the weirdest fall-off's in Hip Hop history.
