This was adapted for a movie that came on HBO in 1994. It’s called “Cosmic Slop” and had three parts, one of which was called “The Space Traders”. I still have it on VHS but just discovered it on YouTube.

Things would go to hell. It would probably be nice for a few years, but then the honeymoon period would wear off. Then all of the class problems that we have now would show their ugly faces again.
