Firstly, got a lot of respect for Preme so hope he lives a long and happy life, but if that were to unfortunately happen he would go down as the GOAT Hip Hop producer to me, he already is to me, the shyt he's produced, the quantity of elite quality is exceptional....
He would be a great off Gang Starr work alone, when you consider he's done great work for Nas, Jay Z, Biggie, KRS-One, Jeru, Fat Joe, Rakim, CNN, M.O.P, NYG'z, AZ and many more not sure how many people can say that. I would say he has classics with every artist I mentioned too. Plus he's proved he can hold down several great albums along with doing external work that is ill.

Premo ain't lower then 3 in any serious conversation.
You can argue (as I often do), that rza and dre are the best because they singlehandedly produced classic records, but no one influenced the art of beatmaking more then Premo. He's got imitators all over the world.

Primo has been my favorite producer since 97 and he continues to try to revamp himself( sometimes bad but has made up big time in the Royce Collab album). He stays relevant while Rza( alot of kats favorite) fell off a decade ago.
Prime for prime though, you could easily go with RZA. What three Primo helmed albums are better than 36, OBFCL and LS?
I love RZA sound on these records but son fell off as time went on. Living Proof album, The Sun Rises in the East, Moment of Truth. They weren't better but up to par with those.
