We’d be doomed...
elitist much? this is such a weird position for a super libertarian to hold... supposedly it is the liberals that are the "elites" that think they know better than everyone else.... yet, you don't want to hear the voices of everyday americans... you don't think they know what's best for themselves, you want someone to decide for them....?

*walks right up to @DEAD7 and snatches his libertarian badge off his chest* ...you don't don't deserve to wear that....

Between Libertarians's racist history and their desire to convince the rest of the country we are doing it wrong it should come as no surprise that libertarians come across as elitists.

@Shogun @Yinny this is the type of revampment i was talking about.

I'd take it a step further and try to figure out a viable to vote online or through the phone....

Nah :whoa:

At least not with current technology (and I'm an IT guy). If you think the election interference in 2016 was bad (and it was), it'd be exponentially worse if people were actually voting online. There's no way in a million years I'd trust online voting results.

I think a better move would be to make voting day a National Holiday that most people get off (like in other countries).

I hear ya, I'm aware of that as well, I'm just saying there has to be a more efficient of path of getting people to vote, where barriers can be reduced.

I agree that more people voting is optimal in that it will result in a government thats more representative of the population.
More representative doesn't necessarily mean better, though...just a more accurate reflection of what the country deserves (which, again, doesn't always mean better).
I mean....2016 had the highest turnout ever.
