the black cat is my crown...
It’s the reason a pure democracy would be terrible.
People in America today are misinformed and bigoted... and as Democrats constantly point out, vote against their own best interest.
:yeshrug:

I’m not an anarchist/purest so indulging in progressive like elitism is ok with me.
:lolbron:

Edit: and my post reeks of love...:mjcry: socialism is the devils game.

it's funny that you'd trust more people with a gun than a vote....

uh... these people don’t even vote.

which means either:

A) they aren’t informed
B) they don’t care about politics, possibly don’t even care about the state of their country
C) they are too lazy to actually go out and vote

sorry these people aren’t exactly upstanding citizens. god knows what they would even base their vote on. there’s also the chance that they could be very easily played.

I’m not insinuating that anyone that doesn’t vote is a low quality person... but there are no doubt a lot of low quality people that don’t vote. all due respect what these people think and feel isn’t really important to me.
you're missing the entire point of my post... we could say that some people are too stupid to save up for retirement so we should have social security for them.... but that would be called elitist... the nerve of me to think the government can spend somebody else's money better than them... so the nerve of you to think you know what type of politician or government someone should vote for better than them....

It is weird that with mobile devices, blockchains, face recognition, thumbprint recognition, cc chips, and voice recognition, that we can't find a way to make voting easier and secure. And yes, Voting should be a national holiday.

Uh... I’m not insinuating that at all. People have the freedom to vote for whoever they want for whatever REASON they want. Whether I agree or not.

These people choose not to vote, so I don’t see what point you are trying to make.

people in here really advocating for mandatory voting? you realize how many people are barely politically literate? enjoy president kim kardashian. :francis:
The everyone should vote argument doesn't take into consideration that Americans are complete idiots & their minds got hijacked to hate one another.

And you think the average person who is currently voting is any better than the average person who doesn't vote? :childplease:

The population most disproportionately represented in actual voting today is old white seniors, the group most disproportionately absent is young people of color. You must be caping for the intellectual and moral capabilities of white seniors over young people of color.

These brilliant old white people you trust with the vote today just voted Donald Trump into office, but ya'all gonna use some stupid scare tactics about the people who aren't voting?

I ain't even a fan of mandatory voting, but I can see right through you.

If by choice...

I'm not a fan of mandatory voting because there are valid reasons not to vote, and because it removes one of the few tools that people outside the middle have to hold their officials accountable.

But i'm not going to buy the bullshyt idea that the old white people who regularly vote in every election are any brighter than the young dark people who don't.

They realize the importance of voting... which isn’t a measure of intelligence but definitely makes them less of an idiot in my book.

Ballot or the bullet? Why not both? Vote by firing at the ballot from 100 yards. Only the best marksmen deserve to decide our elections.

But are you a p*ssy who lets the government decide which caliber you get to cast your vote with? fukk no, you can use any firearm you want. Only interested in the mayoral race? Use the tiny .22 to hang just one, nice, clean chad. Want to vote straight Dem ticket down the entire thing? The Barret light .50 cal will put a cartoonishly giant hole in the ballot, the wall of the polling station, and several innocent children outside. Remember, it's not voter fraud if your bullet ricochets off an old lady and casts another vote on someone else's ballot. It's just Extra Democracy.
