Green is a free agent.
Cavs have no assets outside of Love and the 8th pick.
Spurs already have Aldridge, no need for Love.

Why would San Antonio settle for Kevin Love and his $25 Million price when they have Aldridge/Gasol and an 8th pick in the Draft when they can Get Jaylen Brown who happen to play the same position as Leonard, probably Terry Rozier/Marcus Morris, also can get the Kings first rounder next year which will better than the 8th pick the Cavs can offer.
They'll Need more than Leonard to compete, Old roster full of Untradeable contracts not gonna cut it.
Jr/Tristan/Clarkson/Hill will still be on the team unless they wanna attach all their tradeable 1st rounders.

I totally agree and don't think the Cavs have a chance at making a deal with Philly and Boston around, but I guess they could try a 3-way trade if someone's was willing to take Love for a good draft pick..

Memphis gets Love and tries to make the playoffs with him Gasol and Conley
Cavs get Kawhi
