I see Jay winning a stage battle cause his personality and style lends more to a performance than Nas does

Even when you look at Ether. The punches in it Work better on wax cause you have time to rewind and hear them clearly

He has that multisyllabled style that would hinder his rhyme structure if he tries to act it out. He'd have to slow it down or dumb it down

And that takes away it's uniqueness


Jay is also better thinking on his feet in his rhymes (freestyling)

I think it would have had alot of hype but overall it would suck just because these aren't really battle rappers but definitely give the edge to Jay on stage

Jay put that out there cuz he knew Nas wouldnt respond. It was an empty taunt. Jays actions didnt warrant a freestyle battle....It warrented 5 minutes in a bathroom with bare knuckles. Now yes Jay did add that 3 rounds after the battle after the freestyle but again that was an empty taunt because if Jay really wanted that 5 minutes from Nas he woulda done that behind closed doors and not on the Angie Martinez show.....Keep in mind...Nas won that psychological battle when Jay started making comments about Nas signing to Murder Inc when that was just a rumor. Jay was talking about how Nas went from general to soldier amid hearsay while Nas was smiling at the fact that Jay was respnding to gossip like a female
