Nas isn't a freestyle type of artist.

Any kind of MC battle that's live leans more toward Hov' winning. That's what he came up doing. It's how he got his name out there early on.

I see Jay winning a stage battle cause his personality and style lends more to a performance than Nas does

Even when you look at Ether. The punches in it Work better on wax cause you have time to rewind and hear them clearly

He has that multisyllabled style that would hinder his rhyme structure if he tries to act it out. He'd have to slow it down or dumb it down

And that takes away it's uniqueness

Jay is also better thinking on his feet in his rhymes (freestyling)

I think it would have had alot of hype but overall it would suck just because these aren't really battle rappers but definitely give the edge to Jay on stage
jay woulda lost
again, u didnt see jay-z challenging prodigy to ppv fight:mjlol:
he knew he lost and wanted revenge
nas woulda dropped some of those unreleased ether bars on jay and it woulda been a wrap

I think your both right. Jay's better off the head but Nas would of came prepared with some extra shyt.

didnt nas aka mr pro black try to mock lynch jay z? :mjlol:
im not defending nas.
im just saying jayz embarrased himself.
by trying to send bleek at nas :laff:
to crying on the radio after ether :scusthov:
just embarrassment after embarrassment..blueprint 2 song was cherry on top
:scusthov: :scusthov:
"i will not lose...well maybe i lost but i learned a valuable lesson..and and i donate more to charity! why does everyone like nas!? "
It just became so apparent how much jayz loved nas

I don't agree with you at all, but I respect the way you conveyed your message, just an honest opinion with no hate.

To be honest I think that its weird but you more like... what you said about Nas is how Id think of Eminem more, and how you thought of Jay is also how I'd see Eminem as more, lol
And im' not a huge em fan, used to be though.

Em's style and personality lends him a performance on stage
Em is an awesome freestyle but sometimes in songs you gotta rewind that
Em's style is absolutely multi-based, especially now
but freestyling doesn't take that uniqueness away, so perhaps you see Nas is the same

Em is better on his feet though freestyling(jay would hire a ghostwriter, memorize that shyt, then go onstage like of da top)
Em is a battle rapper and seriously successful album wise, you got one of the best freestylers ever also be the highest selling rapper, your two ends of the spectrum you speak of

Jay would have destroyed Nas in a live face to face to face battle. That's not Nas thing. You have to be quick-witted, charismatic, funny, and kind of an azzhole. Nas knew this which is why he wanted no parts of that.

I've seen EM on stage and Nas doesn't compare to him in a Live performance

EM does a great job of changing his cadence to lock his flow and is ridiculous with his punches and the abstract Shyt he comes up with..he can be very animated

Nas ...Lol..he's very clever but it takes time to come up with the stuff he says and the way he delivers it is not that compelling live

In your car speakers or headphones hell yeah

On stage. .He'd be like how Mook made Lux look like he was over complicating shyt

"What you trying to kick knowledge ..fukkouttahere"

That line is weak in wax
but on stage live its like :gladbron:

But the nikka ain't really say nothing he just kept it plain and simple on some

Back in the day type "Ya mom's ! Bytch ! Now what"

Simple shyt but delivered with vile is a strong ass diss

Nas would have to pull out Joe Camel props :lolbron:

ya doesn't mean much though
Lux brought his weakest to fight mook
And lux dropped some dope freestyles on Sway in the morning, with a nice flow too

Maybe you caught Nas on a bad day
Either way, it doesn't change the fact that in no way is it possible Jay would just show up and rhyme of the top
At least admit that, it's 100% impossible.
He no longer has the mind of an artist, he is a businessman he will protect his brand. Not coming prepared is too risky for him, he'd never ever do it!

I'm not saying he's going to come in and spit three rounds off the top

Nobody. ..well maybe KRS one or somebody like that could do it

My point is more that he has more ability to use his opponents rhymes. .and quickly flip them in his response so to the untrained ear the whole verse sounds like it's freestyled
but in reality he usedid some of what you said and added a couple tweaks to his prewrit

Nobody really knows who would win obviously cause like you said any one could have a bad day at any given time

I was more sof going off a couple shows from what I've seen of both

Jay is a better performer on the stage and in a live battle rap that can be a big advantage
