Why fight for a market share that is already highly competitive with dude bro shooters. You build these cheaper consoles get the younger demographic and turn them into brand loyalists.

They on that Apple playbook, let PS and M$ fight for the same customer while they cultivate their own.

If they knock off all the gimmicks and put out a competent console with their exclusive lineup and third party support they could crush the buildings. Doesn't even need to be a powerhouse, just able to hold it's own up against Playstation and Xbox. But they're complacent living as a Mario Pokemon Zelda machine.

Itd be nice to have a Nintendo console that could run 3rd party titles at true next gen fidelity. Any Switch derivative they make is redundant at this point, might as well go all out one more time imo
