Conservatives want either the electoral college OR proportionate allocation because there are more "red states."

Democrats want popular vote because they know there are simply more "blue voters."

The argument against popular vote makes no sense. They'll say that NYC/LA/Chicago/Dallas/Houston etc, would run the country. Is that any better than politicians only focusing on a handful of battleground states?

Texas, California and New York are the biggest states in population and probably get the least amount of attention outside of the donor class because of all the $$$$. People >>> land
