What irrational fear did you have as a child?

I was deathly afraid I was going to be eaten by a lion. Somehow, a lion was going to be in New Jersey, walk down my street, break into my house, run up the stairs, and eat me while I was sitting on the toilet.

As a kid they use to send home flyers like "There is a man in a van looking to kidnap kids on way home from school". Back in Jersey being kidnap was worst fear as a kid.

I was terrified of fireworks and loud noises as a kid.

When I was 3, my mom took me to a fireworks show and we sat under the fireworks. According to her, I screamed and cried the entire time. From then on, ultra loud noises would make my heart race and I would panic. Thunder and lightning had me shambles for a LONG time. It wasn't until I was 16/17 until I could be outside with fireworks going off. Didn't light my first fireworks until I was 18. Trauma had me and I had no memory of why . I'm 33 now and haven't been to a real fireworks show since.

When I was like 7-8 or some shyt, I begged my mom to buy this poster for me… When I hung it up in my room, I got shook and thought this nikka was gon come alive and jump off the poster. My older sister saw how shook I was and locked me in my room so I tore the poster down and ripped it up
