What is a good All-in-One Computer

Everytime someone brings up all-in-ones someone talks about if it breaks

Those things are basically laptops with big ass touchscreens but everyone has a laptop and knows the disadvantages of those right?

Right now All-in-ones are the best optimized platform to run Windows 8 on. HP and Lenovo are doing these the best. And let's not forget the iMacs either.

If your looking to upgrade parts don't get one but if your just looking for a good space saver that can still do work for you then nothings wrong with these at all.

Thank you for everyone's comments. I think I'm going to look at HP and Lenovo. I'm not worried about trying to build a computer. I just want an All-In-One.

the touch screen interface isn't a convenience in 8. Microsoft wants you to use it. It's why you have to "optimize" it for desktops by removing things. But when you get an all in one the manufactures build their system and 3rd party applications around that feature. They also add things like adjustable screens. Besides the Surface Pro it's great for Win 8.

Kind of a waste of money in my opinion. Get a much more powerful tower pc for the same price.

if you don't plan on using your computer for hardcore gaming I'd look into the apple all in ones then Sony and dell. I have a Sony al in one the HD died it was easily replaced and still under warranty so Sony replaced it for free. Been working great ever since *knock on wood

You can get a touchscreen monitor and still have a traditional tower. That way you have no compromises.

People buying these like the space saving and ease of use of a touch screen. These manufactures go the extra way to make it usable also.

So yeah you could buy a quad i5 desktop and throw some 3rd party screen on there and come out cheaper than a dual i7 aio setup. Fact is most people don't care breh. They just wanna turn it on, play some games, check email, and type some word documents. All in ones appeal to those, especially the amount of cords and clutter cut.

Most all in ones are built around a sleek decently sized touchscreen. Windows 8 is built for touchscreen interactions. Therefore it is "optimal" to use said touchscreen with the respective operating system.
