i was in my hotel depressed when kaminsky went 9 and winslow dropped to 10. that was damn near the only scenario that coulda happened that made me happy if the sully or bradley for 9 trade fell through. i had my phone and internet off and heard roziers name through my earmuffs..i literally looked up and said what the fukk?
we coulda had him at like 25..we pass on portis/anderson/grant etc...then we get hunter and a bootleg of another legit name at PG later? hunter is okay but both picks signal a trade that im not going to be fond of or a logjam of trash that means lobo and sully are still on the squad..
if we got kaminsky and paired him with olynyk...

Seemed doable to get up to 9 and take Winslow, I would have given up any of KO, Sully, and Bradley to move up but the picks weren't terrible to me by any means

Draft was an epic fail. Extremely disproportional roster. Best player is a 5'9 6th man. No marquee free agents are gonna want to come here. What's the attraction? It's a cold weather city and the best players are a 5'9 6th man, Evan Turner & 300 pound Jared Sullinger. People talking about Kevin Love or LaMarcus Aldridge coming here need to stop with the pipedreams. Feels like every year when the draft comes around it's the same shyt. Ainge and the rest boost the fans heads up talking about all the "fireworks" that will happen and then we all leave disappointed.
Ainge has to make shyt happen in the offseason, man. Can't just sit around making a bunch of lateral moves hoping that we'll luck into a disgruntled star.

I think the sixers plan is clear. Wait and see on Ebiid and then move one of the bigs for a disgruntled star etc. It made sense to draft the best available.
Ainge has to prove himself. The big 3 Era was great but he kind of lucked into that KG deal. It's time to do something with these "assets".. enough about what they could do.. let's see it fukking happen.
