I prefer 256kbps m4a over 320 kbps mp3.
The mp3 being more compatible with devices

Certain albums I get all 3 (m4a, mp3, and flac)

They say M4a 256 sounds better then MP3 320 and uses less space.

If you can buy the album on CD, do that and then rip it to lossless or lossy M4a. You can even rip the cd to M4a 320 if you don't want 256.
