Somalis never had or sold a Muslim as a slave tho. Saved alotta peeps:mjpls:

But Islam opened up trading between Western Africa and the Arab world/Asia. Thats how Mansa Musa, a Muslim West African that pilgrimaged to Mecca, became richest man in history.

Islam aslo brought along literacy to alot of places in West Africa

Islam did not begin with some arab wearing a rag on his head....Islam is not a religion but a way of life that begin with the original peoples of the earth

The Koran is written in Arabic, which is a language that originates in the Middle East. So that's likely where Islam began.
This. The Egyptian Mystery system is probably the first true organized religion utilized by blacks.. Back then, the pharoahs were worshiped as Gods. The sun was worshipped as well. Wasn't until much later when Ethiopian Christianity came onto the scene. Islam is new as fukk compared to the other two.

The Pharaohs were not worshipped as gods by the ancient black Egyptians. Rather nature was worshipped and represented in several god forms:
Name God of
Nephthys Funerary goddess
Consort of Seth, mother of Anubis
Nekhbet vulture goddess Sister of Wadjet
Nut Goddess of sky and stars Wife of Geb
Osiris God of the underworld
Etc.

Islam has nothing to do with a language or region...it's very definition dictates that it is the original religion of the original people...black people's beginnings cannot be traced. We were brought into existence because that's what God wanted...It was his will...and we submitted to it:blessed:

Islam was introduced to the area early on from the Arabian peninsula, shortly after the hijra. (translation : nikkas was hating a lil on Moh so he said fukk that and came to somalia were we wuz like you cool breh, and the rest is history)
Zeila's two-mihrabMasjid al-Qiblatayn dates to the 7th century, and is the oldest mosque in the city.[51] In the late 9th century, Al-Yaqubi wrote me Muslims were living along the northern Somali seaboard.[52] He also mentioned that the Adal kingdom had its capital in the city,[52][53] suggesting that the Adal Sultanate with Zeila as its headquarters dates back to at least the 9th or 10th centuries.

For more than 1400 years, Islam made a great part of Somali society.[1]

The early Muslims sought refuge from persecution in cities on the northern Somali coast
