Just trying to see which one people think isn't the best out of his work so far
I didn't include The Following because I don't think a lot of people saw it

I've seen em all except Following. I think Memento might be his most overrated :hubie:

Insomnia probably his most forgotten movie and one of my faves.

Batman Begins was my favorite movie for a long time. My grad school essay was inspired by and referenced it. :wow:

The Prestige may be his most underrated. You could argue it's his best work, made all the more impressive only coming a year after Batman Begins. What a follow up. That really solidified his status. Go figure, it's his worst by Metacritic with a 66. :mjtf:

Nobody in their right mind is picking The Dark Knight or Inception.

I loved The Dark Knight Rises. Saw it 7 times in theaters. Is it the weakest of the trilogy? Sure. But I like that it's closer in tone to Batman Begins.

Interstellar is 10 years old now. This has a legitimate claim as his best film.

I liked Tenet. Almost feels like Nolan on auto pilot. Like how Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise in all his movies.

Saw Oppenheimer in IMAX. Would probably never watch it again. That's with acknowledging that it's his magnum opus. Actually, might catch it on USA on cable when it's on in the future.

That leaves us with Dunkirk. Far and away his worst film. I didn't watch it for the first time till last year, 6 years after it released. Tells you all you need to know. This is a movie that I know I'll never watch again. Spielberg has Saving Private Ryan so Nolan had to cross the war movie off the checklist. And wouldn't you know it, it's his highest rated film on Metacritic with a 94. :unimpressed:

Dunkirk is a GREAT film. Tenet is his worst film. Just universally confused the hell out of everyone :heh:

‘Following’ was so damn intriguing to me. Was impressed with how his debut was still able to pack a punch in only 69 min while working with what he had on a clear lack of budget. Definitely could see the potential, and what later goes on to become his signature filmmaking style radiating on screen. But I’m also just really biased when it comes to trippy Nolan though.

Bro was hungry there. What I felt during TDKR was a man, who by that point, felt drained of dealing with the Batman IP. The plot-holes are more damning upon rewatches.

But since oppenheimer is a straight bite noone noticed but me on the internets, that deserves mention for literally using a tv movie script as a placeholder and changing very little of it
