This is one of the last (relatively) reserved Dre beats too. Majority of shyt he's done over the last two decades is super over produced and overly cinematic. Soulless.

My favorite part about it is it has the signature 00s Dre sound, but tweaked in a way that's perfect for Rae to slide on.

Most of Dre's work on the 2006 Busta album was excellent and this would have been made in the same era, so it makes sense.

Why would he need to when he made dope shyt from the 50s thru the 90s? Everything after Q’s Jook Joint were just passion projects and one offs with young unknown artists.
