NBA players usually don’t have time to be completely informed about every side of the issue. They go with hot takes and trends for the most part. Ideally what he’s saying is right but like OP’s post says after we get rid of every other month and like he said when Black history is taught all year long.

This picture has been a gift and a curse for the generations of sports players that came after. It feels like Modern day athletes have this insecurity and weird need to live up to the past greats who were excellent athletes as well as excellent vehicles of social change. That was a one in a lifetime era that can't be duplicated. These "demonstrations" these modern athletes are doing now seem so forced and contrived and uneducated. Dear modern athletes, be yourselves. Don't have to be something you are not

Things are so hard for us and they just get radio show DJ’s and athletes who didn’t study to speak for all of us. We have no actual leaders
And this was because they were the ONLY chance we had to have people speak for us. This isn’t the case today but people invest way too much in what these clowns will say.
