I'm a Canes fan til the day I die. If ever in my lifetime the ACC were to have 4 different teams be national champions within 7 years I wouldn't even bother responding to anyone saying that my team's conference wasn't the best or it was overrated. That's just acting scorned. Some things don't even need to be said.

They have no control over how the other team ends up due to injuries or whatever else. Why should I be punished just b/c you fell off at the end of the year.?

rankings are subjective. records are not.

You have no more credibility. You just said FSU was Boise St.

and that's NOT how it's always been, if it was then towards the end of the season they would need rto re-adjust EVERY teams rankings to reflect the season their opponents had.

I’m not scorned over anything the national championship game was always bullshyt. Two teams fighting for the "mythical national championship". As I got older I just stopped watching it because I knew it was bullshyt. Nothing was settled on the field it was just 2 teams writers thought that should be in there most years. Half the writers didn’t even stay up for west coast games how could they evaluate how good a team was? The coaches’ poll was a joke how can they vote on team they never seen? They would just have an assistant or someone fill it out. The system has been a joke for years.


I’m looking forward to the 4 game playoff it’s not perfect I know it will bullshyt on that too, but its something better than years of trash. But the truth is the truth just follow the money.

FSU's marquee win was manhandling Clemson, at Clemson, who was top 5 at the time as well as Miami.

Nobody else has beaten two top 5 times this season (at the time they were ranked in the top 5)

It’s funny people scream how great the SEC is but 2 big 12 teams came in there last year and didn’t only hold their own but was in the case of A&M they were pissing on the great SEC conference.

you say this but what's Missouri's biggest SEC win? A&M beat Bama last year and who else of note in the SEC have they defeated? I'll wait.....

clemson beat uga by a field goal in the opener, but they havent resembled even a top 15 team in their two games against ranked teams since. obviously miami wasnt a top 5 quality team either. if ohio state beats michigan state in a close game, fsu and osu essentially have mirror resumes. the clemson and miami wins for fsu, the wisconsin and michigan state wins for osu. the edge for fsu comes in them blowing out every team theyve played while osu has struggled in 4 games and appears to have a leaky defense.

its a shame that there isnt a playoff this year so both those teams can truly prove that they belong in a national title game.

The record speaks for itself. The same points being raised against us weren't being beaten into the ground the year Bama got a rematch considering Okie St had more quality wins, better offense, more victories vs T25 opponents, AND won their conference. The shytty lost to Iowa St killed them but it shouldn't have in reality. I'd argue the same for USC the yr they got passed over for OU even tho OU didn't win their conference. As a matter of fact, I don't understand why Bama is ranked a spot higher than Mizzou to begin with (man if my fellow Jayhawks saw that they would be embarrassed)

Other than them beating the class of the conference whom else did they beat in the SEC? That’s my point the SEC doesn’t have that many teams of note just a couple at the top and everyone else is vastly overrated.

If you look at how Vegas ranks these teams they are more on point than anyone.

i dont get the bama/okie st and 2013 fsu comparison. my point about proving yourself against a top 5 caliber isnt necessarily picking on this year's fsu team. i would have voted for bama over okie st the same reason id vote for fsu over ohio st. they were the more dominant team against similar resumes. revisiting that okie st team, they had 4 wins over teams that finished the regular season ranked. sure its nitpicking but they struggled against two teams and lost to an unranked team. i would have loved to see a playoff that year too. a rematch between two teams in the same conference isnt ideal the same way two undefeated teams from two different trash conferences wouldnt be ideal either.

maybe michigan state will win and it will all work out, but even then id still love to have a playoff.

really i think the west is better than last year, the only real difference in the east is georgia being a mash unit. mizzou and florida basically flip flopped this year. we'll know for sure after the bowl games.
