It's not fear. It's lack of knowledge and perceived pressure from society. It's a lack of experience and understandin' outside of whatever beliefs 1st filled someone's head.

What's the difference between a hug with chest contact & hand to head contact? Since when did the back of a man's head become sexual? Where I'm from, that's considered more of a sonnin' gesture, but we made that up too.

The picture looks suspect if you look at it as a whole....which it should do the opposite of. I know what they were going for and I agree with the question posed. However this cover just gives off a "gay" vibe.

i'm not a man but IMO some black men believe that their masculinity and heterosexuality are under attack but when I look at black athletes, I don't see understand how this picture can be controversial. graduations, winning some sort of sporting event, at family functions black guys will definitely hug uncles, grandfathers...their cool cousins

or during sorrows....passing of a dear friend or family
