I mean I see where your coming from, but I think this movement has come about from our sex culture. I mean this is the age of hook ups, no strings attached sex, and where women are very liberated about sex and sexuality. The pro's for men is that it's never been an easier time IMO for men to have sex without commitment. One of the drawbacks for men, is that women are placing more emphasis on sex, and on good sex, than in the past. And since more women these days have been with multiple men, they can compare their sexual experiences, i.e. a virgin woman that's only been with one man will see sex differently than a woman that's had a lot of partners(to which she can compare the sex). So standards are being raised--a lot of these women are now having similar views that men have(that they will not marry or get into a relationship with a man without knowing how he is sexually). In other words, women make sex a priority too now, and want to orgasm, and cum as easily as men. But since it takes more for the average women to orgasm, more emphasis is being placed on how to please her, because as the stats show, there are still groups of men that aren't able to get a woman there. This is all a side effect of sexual liberation, hook up culture, and open-mindedness(in regards to more women being lesbians and bisexual) IMO. Perhaps in some ways this is a part of feminism too.
