When Blueprint and Stillmatic came out, I bumped both them shyts on a daily basis for 6 months. I refused to be drawn into the stannery and liked both artists equally.

When I listen to em now, they haven't aged well. Blueprint is most definitely not a classic... Stillmatic probably isn't.

Reasonable Doubt is closer to a classic than any of them shyts, cos to this day it still plays very very well front to back.

Blueprint, Black Album, RD and imo WTT (if it counts) and AG are about 4/5.

I think Jay only has one true classic in Reasonable Doubt,

I would say near classics would be:

American Gangsta
In My Lifetime Vol 1
The Black Album

He's probably counting Vol. 2.

Vol. 1 is his 2nd or 3rd best album, and it's not a classic.

I see why he'd say Vol. 2 on the strength of impact but on a good day you can get me to say American Gangster, but in my mind, he's got a solid three
