not really, believe i our not but this stuff affects blacks and Latinos more you just don't hear about it because no one gives a fukk
Exactly...
Even though we didn't even create "rape culture" or "misogyny" or the concept of "patriarchy", black and latino men have been villified because of it simply because it uses feminism and women's fears to negate the "reality" of it.
The reality of it being that the majority of rapists (alongside of the majority of those committing crimes) are white males, but white privelege allows the heat to be put off of them and put on us.
Anytime you hear in the news about the black bogeyman of the moment that the media likes to conjure up to perpetuate the belief of the black man as a criminal rapist that women should fear...that's "rape culture" at work and it says more about how socioeconomic status is used to make us look desperate and destitute in all walks of life.
Anytime there's a serial rapist case coming up in the NYT, Daily News, it's always some black male. The hypersexual black man that has unprotected sex with a bunch of women and gives them HIV, the black rapist that's lurking in Central Park ready to attack young white females jogging. It all plays into fear and insecurity to perpetuate and continue lies.
I have literally read the words and works of (white) feminist authors who have used "feminism" and women's rights to demonize minorities and illegal immigrants...so it's not like what I'm saying is far from reality.
