Never been a fan of dude and actually own one album by him (death is certain). can any of you guys point me in the right direction as far as his discography goes and or mixtapes?
Sure, I'm a big Royce fan.
MUST LISTEN:
Death Is Certain (but you already have that.)
The Bar Exam (It's a mixtape, so some stolen beats, but his rapping is perfect.)
The Bar Exam 2 (Another mixtape, so more stolen beats, but his rapping is fukking great. A different style from BE1. More loose, drunk, and funny. He's got some lines on this one that are just wild.)
Street Hop (dope as fukk album. Underrated. Great storytelling tracks, and variety of songs.)
The Bar Exam 2: The Album (Has a few bangers not on the mixtape.)
AFTER THAT:
So you listen to those, and you're still hungry for more Royce shyt...alright. These are also pretty good:
Rock City (whatever version you get, there's going to be some classic tracks, and some trash.)
Success Is Certain (his most recent album. It's got some dope songs, and some experimental songs with singing that you may or may not feel. I like 'em okay.)
The Bar Exam 3 (not as good as the first two, but pretty dope.
Bad Meets Evil - EP (Em in his prime, Royce in his potential)
Bad Meets Evil - Welcome To Hell (Royce in his prime, Em on his comeback)
The Revival - The leaked "album!" At least it was supposed to be an album. A few songs ended up being released on Street Hop. Of the songs that didn't, "Taxi Driver" is a must-have Royce song. I also love "Promise Land," and "Detroit, Detroit" bangs. The rest is okay. Some of them have those verses that embarrassed Royce on stage with Mr. Fab.)
M.I.C. Mixtape (half of it is forgettable, but "Nickel" and "Buzzin" and a few others are great.)
ANYTHING ELSE?
Yeah...
Independent's Day (Royce's third album. You Owe Me, Politics and Yeah bang. The rest of it kinda sucks.)
Build & Destroy (You might bump this up higher if you don't already have these songs. I had heard most of the songs before so I don't really understand this release. At this point, there should be another 3 or 4 "Build & Destroys" because Royce has sooooooo many features. He has like dozens and dozens of songs with no-name rappers that are dope as fukk. Google Royce, "Rhymin Circles Around You" - forget who made it, but that has a lot of 'em, during his prime. Or go on some Royce / Slaughter message, see if one of the nerds can make you a mix. He's got some dope shyt you've never heard of before. He was giving out verses to people for like $1,000 one year.)
Slaughterhouse - On The House - greatness, but Royce is only a quarter.
Slaughterhouse - Slaughterhouse - good, but Royce is only a quarter.
No other Slaughterhouse albums exist in my world.
