Part of the issue comes from men who see sex as something they have to work for often.
Another part of the issue comes from women who have a lot of sexual partners, and see it as an equalising factor between them and men. If men can do it, then so can they.
The thing is, girls who have a lot of sex are doing so without much effort, for guys there is some effort put in.
I have no issue with girls who have a lot sex, if they want to have a lot of sex, they should go for it.
I'm not going to date those girls, but nonetheless they should be able to do whatever they want without social pressure either way.

This is already done regularly, it is even sanctioned by society. Men get shamed for variety of reasons no one cares, call sluts and fatties what they are and women start a movement in an attempt to absolve themselves of personal responsibility.

Slut-shaming been around for a hot minute though, only now it's started to become a topic of discussion.

To be honest, I've never been a slut-shamer and don't have a problem with girls who are promiscuous - I don't even really care about bodycounts either (context matters more to me). However, the counter-intuitive part of this whole movement is that there may be a counter-shaming element whereby men are shamed for not wanting to date a promiscuous girl - which in my opinion is wrong. People are allowed their preferences, judgements and ideologies for themselves. So while I think slut-shaming isn't a good thing, neither is shaming someone for not being a fan of promiscuity.
