Looking forward to seein this team healthy with its young talent, depth and coaching :ehh:

He might be able to shine in a smaller role so I would lent give up em yet even tho he had a terrible critical game :francis:

Terry Rozier is a stud. Y'all are acting like Tatum's confidence and poise is normal but Rozier has played pretty damn impressively for the entire post season sans the last game.

He stayed aggressive as fukk and he was trying to impose his will. Those are shots he's been making all series, he just wasn't able to get them to fall.

Two to three years from now, he's gonna be much better. He just needs playmaking experience and work on his decision making. He's really good defensively too, despite being small.

this game was good for them in the long run because after they had so much success without kyrie he was feeling himself a little too much and talking about how he sees himself as a starter. now he can fall back and see he is not ready. play his role as an amazing backup and they will compete for a title next year.

Yeah tbh this is a "good" loss for the Celtics imo. They prob get crushed in the Finals either way, which can hurt their confidence. Here they lose in 7 againt Bron so it's not a question of their talent but rather of their inexperience. And you don't have the ackward thing of them going to the Finals without Kyrie and Hayward. It humbles the young players without deflating them, and everyone can look confidently at next year.

young player on bad game, after balling out whole playoffs
Coli gm's would have traded Lebron after the mavs series for danny granger

Ain't no way to spin 0-14 from 3 on your home court in a close out game.

That dude choked.

:why:

He's 23/24, going up against one of the greatest players in NBA history that is also one of the greatest game 7 performers in NBA history...and it's his first ECF game 7 EVER.

Forget the stress and pain of going through an entire NBA season at his age and level but you're adding a post season to that too?

Dude had a bad game, in one of the most stressful situations you could be dealing with. Shots just weren't falling, which happens to young players.

He stayed aggressive, he was getting penetration, and getting good looks that just weren't falling. He played great defense on everyone not named Lebron James and he wasn't scared of the moment. That's the kinda dog you want on your team. He needs consistency and structure. He's shown to be a starter level talent on an ECF team and you could possibly have him coming off the bench against other squad's second units. His confidence is great because he doesn't need easy, open rhythm shots to find his aggressive motor.

You know how many FRANCHISES have wilted under the pressure of Lebron James in the post season?
