Some languages sound like smooth running water, and then there's German that sounds like playing a track in reverse.

Vietnamese also sounds like nails on chalkboard even when spoken in English.

I find German and vernacular Arabic to be the most uncivilised and barbaric sounding languages to my ears. It's just hacking and spitting. You can hear a trace of that Teutonic barbarism in French too, the way they say their r-sounds.

Arabic when it is sung sounds like a completely different language but when I hear it spoken on the street it really just sounds like hacking up phlegm and spitting it out

German has no redeeming points to it at all. It's a hideous sounding language because even when it is sung, they're on that Ramstein screamer heavy metal shyt.
