To me it is the Briahna Joy Gray and Marc Lamont Hill types that put issues like Gaza before Black issues such as mass incarceration, the wealth gap, etc.
The type of Black leftist that care about POC issues more than the issues in their own community.
You're making the same mistake Tariq and his clones make by talking loud with no real understanding. You're attacking Marc Lamont Hill as if you've done any real engagement with their work, but clearly you haven't.
He does care about mass incarceration, the racial wealth gap, police violence, education disparities, and every major issue facing Black people in America. He's written about them, organized around them, and spoken on them for years. Just because he also speaks up for Palestinians or global human rights doesn't mean he's sidelining Black issues. That's a lazy take rooted in political immaturity.
You just seem uncomfortable with the idea that Black people can walk and chew gum at the same time, care about our community *and* stand in solidarity with others facing oppression. You call that selling out, when it's just principled politics.
