When I win I bring we with me
animism is man's original religion...

animism is kinda vague a term. :francis: That's like saying "spirituality is man's original religion..."

It's like when Europeans call people "chiefs". A hogon's relation to the community in Dogon country maybe distinct from the Asantehene to the Ashanti or Eze in igboland. Either way Europeans would call them all "chiefs" ruling a "chiefdom" :snoop: This is also a reason I roll my eyes at people using the term "King" & "Queen" all the time. The relationship of a European king to the rest of the community especially as concerns land rights/tenure are distinct in nature.

Example:
The hogon doesn't own all the dogons land with the dogon people working the soil as peons.

This is also a problem I have with socialist/communist because they bring their ideas to an African context assuming all "African chiefs" have the same relationship with their people as European kings and try to map their ideology 1 to 1 on Africa. Animism is yet another generic term that doesn't really fit anything in specific.

Hell I'd say something generic like "cattle cults", "ancestor cults", or "mother cult" before saying anything like "animism". Even though cattle domestication came way too late to assume it was first. I think in a situation like this the better question would be...

Better question: What evidence do we have of the black mans original spiritual system(s)?:jbhmm:

I like this topic. I had this discussion with someone at work.

So the people of Kham, Khem or Kemets which were people of what we call Africa and the descendents of black people believed in "Nature" or NTR. There was no God and the term God was a German word created along with a concept called religion. They believed that there was a creator named Ptah and he spoke everything into existence. They followed the patterns of animals and made statues after them to emulate their wisdom, strength and etc. hence you have the Anubis and the Sphinx (which actually isn't it's real name), the snake represented wisdom. From there, the Kemets studied chemistry, math, science, medicine and created astronomy. They created Pyramids as bullet points for navigation so that no one would get lost in the desert but more importantly the pyramids correlated with the patterns of the stars. They created calendars, clocks off of sun dials and now that astronomy and nature was observed, many stories were told. They saw the Sun and told the story of Osiris who later became Amun of the south and Ra of the north and then Amun-Ra. From Ra or Osiris and Isis was Horus/Heru (Horizon) and Set (Sunset) and so all these stories were told based on nature or ntr. The number 7 and 12 was heavily favored. From there, you have the invasion of the Persians and so forth, the bible kinda briefly touches on this. They saw that the descendents of Kham and Shem were in tuned with nature and told stories of creators so they mimicked them and told them to worship their kings as Gods. Instead of doing that, they recreated their own stories based off of NTR and Ptah and incorporated their own spins on the same story claiming themselves as the chosen ones because they were being heavily persecuted. Through slavery and constant conquering of other tribes to eventually barbaric cacs. The cacs started believing that Ptah, Osiris, Heru were their gods. When Yeshua Ben Yosef (Jesus Christ) was born, he wanted to reclaim these stories while the original descendants of Kham, Shem were being persecuted and as a resulted, he was crucified as well. The long lost descendents that did not no their history either were turning on each other and took it out on him. When he died, they felt guilty because he was innocent and they celebrated his resurrection but the cacs had no history, were bitter and like they steal our culture today, they stole our ancestors culture back then but whitewashed everything to their liking from the Nubian Kemets to even Yeshua changing his name to Jesus and painting him white after Caesar Borgia so that the original inhabitants (us) can be on board with them. When our ancestors were enslaved, they purposely named them Adam and Eve after the what the newly modified story was stated and prevented them from learning to read because the bible was written by black people (probably Moors) but it has power that awakens us when read correctly.

Oh yea and there was no cross. The crosses were shaped like and X but was actually modeled after the Ankh. The Ankh is actually a stem representing a penis, the opposing sides represent the offspring and the circular top represents the embryo or the internal sack of the womb of a woman. In Kemet, the woman represents God, not the man. Excuse my grammar as I'm just ranting and have so much information that I can't make it sound cohesive enough.

That's my long ass theory.

Amen existed over 1000 years before Abraham. All the major religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam all call on Amen when they end their prayers. The Metu Neter says thats because Amen will make u call on him even if u dont know or acknowledge him as the original.

Also most of the Pharoahs had Amen abbreviated or hyphenated in their names.
