What is the "end" goal for humans?

What exactly are humans trying to prove? What is all this hard work going to accomplish?

infinite knowledge and complete control of EVERYTHING

you're talking END game... like what do we, as a species, want to accomplish in the end of all of this work, and learning, and understanding, and travel

when can humans kick their feet up and say, we're done y'all... we did it


the only answer can be...... when we obtain all the knowledge in the world... we have nothing to search for answers for anymore... ask any question, that any human could ever think of.... and there's a book, with the definite answer, right there in front of you.... you'd never question anything.... you'd have nothing to learn or be curious about

every advancement in our species came from why? people studied till they got an answer... and now we have smartphones, space travel and microwaves



the other half is complete control.... if you knew how space worked, you'd still want to control it...you'd still want to control the earth's climate... control time... control space.. control the oceans

i think if we as a species had ALL the answers, and were able to control every single aspect of our lives.... we'd truly say, ok fukk this... lets all just party and fukk and have babies.. we no longer have ANY worries

To reproduce. Same as any other mammal. Along the way we make friends, grow old from our youth and accomplish many other things of note. We go to college. We have girlfriends, wives. We have children. I truly feel that we enjoy all of this on a higher level due to our intelligence. And then we die. This concept scares some folks and they feel it isn't enough. If you aren't miserable I don't see how it's a waste at all, personally.

What is any organisms end goal? The continued survival and proliferation of our species. We just have the anatomy to do it bigger and better than any other animal.

To take over the universe, and cosign on immortality. We have now taken evolution into our own hands and in 100 years or so, I can see people living for a significantly longer period of time. All the chemical and adulteration in nature effects our biology and those who can survive without getting ill have better genes, or they will mutate to accommodate the new environment. Also the strides they've taken in medicine are crazy! They've isolated aging genes and everything. Soon, I'm sure they'll be able to put a stop to that.

Humans are so fearful of aliens being hostile and taking over, but IMO we're those aliens. It will all be done in the name of resources. You can see it now. Think about just 100 years ago a woman could have 8 kids and maybe three would live to be 30! Now people with disabilities are surpassing that age. When everyone can live forever, we'll need more…stuff. That will be found elsewhere. Besides humans are hostile towards each other, and we have few differences. Aliens would be eliminated by us, or at least we would try.

We live to create a foundation for our offspring. They live to repeat the cycle. With each cycle or generation more knowledge is uncovered, theories are debunked or reinforced. The longer we are allowed to live on this earth the more knowledge we will acquire. Will we ever find our true prupose as a species? We[the current generation] won't. Will the future generations? No one knows ...too many variables. However, the longer the earth allows us to take up residence here, the closer we get to answers. Answers to questions we may or may not want answered.

We will never have an end goal as long as humanity as a whole exists. It wouldn't matter if the Earth were to be destroyed, life goes on. Or should I say that time goes on?

The only end goal I could think of would be..ultimate bliss for eternity. Think about that, whatever reason someone pursues something, whether it be a job = power, or knowledge, etc. it is for happiness and well-being. So a critical mass of universal bliss for everyone. Maybe.

BUT REALLY DOE, IT'S TO MAKE MORE HUMANS.

WHY DO YOU THINK NUTTIN FEELS SO GOOD?

IT'S NATURE'S FORM OF ENCOURAGEMENT.

Nah, in my opinion humanity is naturally combative. Bliss isn't something that could exist for everyone at the same time. There would have to be some sort of expense therefore true bliss for all of humanity is impossible. Immortality =/= Bliss....we find new ways to cheat death and disease every day.
