DJ was looking flustered as fukk at the end

Not really...because Hollywood Rock would expose the gimmick and tear it apart where it wouldn't have any more relevance.

And Cena was almost ready to run out the ring during the Punk contract signing when he sprung just a tidbit of this on him

When Rock said, men don't respect u because we can smell a phony son of a bytch a mile away as the crowd gave a standing ovation in agreeance, unlike in the Cena promos that only the internet marks flipped out for, Cena's face went bright red:laugh: #ShookOnes

Also in that promo...basically the Rock attacked the WWE and their whole presentation while going at Cena like that. No one is even close to his level.

And I don't get how Cena could say that Rock wouldn't care about the WWE closing tomorrow when he took a break from his prospering movie career to get back to the ring. The check he would have made from Wrestlemania would have been a small drop in his Hollywood money. Rock legit enjoys wrestling and came back for the love of the business.

I doubt he even believes that, it's just an easy point to hammer on in order to create some drama and sell a feud. Honestly, what other button could he push?

It was the only material Cena had to fight the Rock with..that would of got over in 2002..until the Rock addressed it and then he would belittle or make fun of it and it wouldn't last...as we all saw in 2003. Turned melting hot anti Rock crowds into marks with just 5 or 10 minute promos...even placed himself over Austin and Hogan and fans still marked out. So the sell out argument had a limit years ago...Cena started making it about the Rock not liking his clothes and hip hop too..as if was anti establishment:laugh: Mr. "JBL IS POOPY" was hard all of a sudden...

Bret spoke on this video recently in a podcast. Lawler was getting at Hart's parents so bad with ruthless and vicious jokes that Bret and Owen were planning on stepping to Lawler backstage over 'em. When Hart told his parents about his plan to address Lawler personally and possibly fukking him up, his mom told him stop being so sensitive and that both she and her husband thought the jokes were hilarious:

Stu Hart was a professional. :ehh:

It's not close at all....apparently they told the Rock to let him just rant and rant. U forgot what was going on back then....they wanted to "split" the crowd..the notes on the arm...all of that shyt. It was a micromanaged promo war....didn't work though as it still ended with F1ck U Cena chants.
Exactly, some people seem to forget all the reports about the wwe really controlling this feud. Cena's material was extremely dated and sounded more petty than interesting, and even though he as gone for 7 years the fans forgot all about that when he returned. The notes on the arm is when i knew this feud was a complete joke, Rock has gone up against the best mic workers in the biz but needs notes for Cena?:heh::mjlol:

Edge is so trash. Cant believe this thread came from that :snoop:

So glad his era is dead and gone :pacspit:

Far from trash. Helped keep Smackdown afloat for many years and had a memorable heel run. Along with an intense rivalry with John Cena which was probably the last time Cena was entertaining to me.

Cena and Rock traded 'wins' to have a Team Edward vs Team Jacob dynamic at wrestlemania (didn't work). Rock didn't care because he got a piece of the gate
