One of the most obvious manufactured feuds ever.
Literally made zero sense the whole way through. Especially the material they were giving Cena for his end of the bargain.

Crying about Rock, a known full time actor not being on the show weekly even though he never said he was back to be a weekly superstar. He said he wasnt going away for 7 years again like he did.
Crying about Rock leaving when you spent the majority of his 7 year hiatus lobbying for his return and stating how much of a fan you are of him.
I could go on and on. They even had Cena get all giddy and excited asking Rock to be his partner at Survivor Series.
Why do you think Rock had to cut that unscripted promo on his own that R=G posted. WWE wasnt having a true battle with the two, and Rock legit had to set the record straight. The feud ended with that promo. Hell, I dont think Rock was truly going out and being all that he can be. To this day even. His work and material outside of the WWE outshines what he is doing on the show.
The Rock's overall best work was far and away the night he returned in 2011.
