I've been thinking about this a lot lately and have been going back and listening to my music library trying to figure it out, but:

Redman circa 94-96

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWDazyPyjts]Redman - Can't Wait [Explicit] - YouTube[/ame]

pretty hard to rap better than that

charisma, flow, delivery, beats, lyricism, humor, just everything is :ohlawd:

Guys like G Rap, Nas, Elzhi, Black Thought etc might be better lyricists but Reggies delivery when hes on is earth shattering

straight up get blunted and throw your hands in the air music

I remember I read the interview KRS- One said 2Pac is the perfect MC and even Kool G Rap said 2Pac is the hip-hop icon cause this guy is "Everything", he can rap about anything like he can brag about how great food was and you gonna along with him and agree with about the food like "Damn, that n!gga was right about the food". Pac knows what work and what not.

I think Biggie Small is the closest to be the perfect MC if you think about it.

Redman is in my top 10, def. I always said to everybody that Redman is better than Jay-Z, imo.

The funny thing is..... Pac DOES have Nas' lyrical ability or close to it. :win:

I think Nas is a lot more versatile with the lyrics and flow. Pac wouldn't sound as dope on Find Your Wealth or Life's A bytch.

Pac seems at his best when he's upset ( see I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto) and wildin'

Lyrically, Nas is a 10...Pac is a 7, not wack, above average

Lmao. First Pac would sound perfect on life's a bytch. All He kill's gap band samples like no other.

Second lyrically Pac was Nas' equa when it came to concept tracks. Nas is still catching up. See Soulja Story. You speak on lyric's but Pac was spitting heavily on Brenda's gotta baby and if you want to see Pac on his lyrical zenith look at makaveli.

"bomb first"

Allow me to introduce first {*gunshot fires*} Makaveli the Don
Hysterical, spiritual lyrics like the holy Qu'Ran
nikkaz get shook like 5-0
My forty-five gun's next to me when we ride, for survival
Money makin plans, pistol close at hand, swollen pockets
Let me introduce the topic, then we drop it
Expose snakes cause they breath freely, see me ride?
Located world wide like the art of graffiti
I think I'm tougher than Nitti, my attitude is shytty
Born on a dopefiend's titty.. huh
In every city you'll find me
Look for trouble right behind me
My Outlaw nikkaz down to die for me, knahmean?
I hit the scene nikkaz duckin from my guillotine stare
I'm right there; my every word, a fukkin nightmare
Get me high, let me see the sun rise and fall
This for my dogs down to die for yours
Extreme venom, no mercy when we all up in 'em
Cut 'em down.. to Hell is where we send 'em
My whole team, trained to explode ride or die
Murder motherfukkers lyrically, and I'm not gon' cry
Me - a born leader never leave the block without my heater
Two big pits, I call them my bytch nikka eaters
And not a whimper 'til I'm gone
Thug Life runnin through my veins so I'm strong

Those aren't or C average lyricism he was spitting on that shyt.
Me and my girlfriend

I was too immature to understand your ways.
Inexperienced back in the days.
Caused so many arguments and strays.
Now I realize how to treat cha.
The secret to keep ya.
Bein faitful cuz now cheating's leathal.
We closer than the hands of time.
Deeper than the drive of mankind.I trust you dearly,
I shoot blind.
In time I clock figures.
Droppin nikkas as we rise.
We all souljas in God eyes.
Now it's time for war.
Never leave me waitin.
I'm paranoid.
Sleepin with you loaded by my bedside, crazy.
Jealous when you hang wit the fellas.
I wait patiently alone
anticipated for the moment you come home.
I'm watin by the phone.
This is true love, I can feel it.
I've had a lot of women in my bed
But you the realest.
If you need me, call.
I'll be there.
Through it all.
You're the reason I could stand tall.
Me and my girlfriend.

Lastly to prove that Pac is Nas lyrical equal OR superior lets go a song with a similiar concept.

Me and my girlfriend vs I gave you power.... :ohhh:

Now on paper Nas lyrically kills this shyt and you want to say pac is just average but have you read the lyrics? I won't post them but needless to
say Pac is lyrically Nas' equal on this track with the same concept.

Look at the views of Me and My girfriend vs I gave you power on youtube.

Pac has 5 MILLION and Nas has 500,000

My point? Pac's lyrics touch more people and his lyrics are sang in countries they don't even speak english. So don't say that "lyrically" shyt. Lyrically Nas is The best alive but Pac is the GOAT uncontested. His unreleased deathrow makaveli songs had Pac getting more and more lyrical with each track as well so dont give him a dj quik rating on lyrics it's disrespectful.
